Commercial Construction Procurement & Contracts Manager – Houston, TX

Role Overview:
We are hiring a Commercial Construction Procurement & Contracts Manager to lead sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation for commercial construction projects, including new builds, remodels, and infrastructure projects. Reporting to the VP of Construction Services, you will drive cost efficiency, on-time project delivery, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for materials, services, and equipment.
• Manage suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with contracts and project timelines.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts for construction materials and services.
• Support project teams to ensure materials meet specifications, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and adjust sourcing strategies based on market trends.
• Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in construction procurement or sourcing, including new builds and remodels.
• 5+ years management experience, leading teams or direct reports.
• Strong contract negotiation, supplier management, and communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of construction timelines, materials, and procurement best practices.
• Preferred: CPSM or PMP certification; experience sourcing specialized construction equipment.
