Commercial Construction Estimator/Project Administrator

- Minimum 5+ years experience in commercial construction estimating
- Strong knowledge of commercial plans, specifications, CSI divisions, and construction methods
- Experience with takeoff software, Excel, and estimating platforms
- Ability to read architectural, structural, MEP, and civil drawings
- Experience with project administration and construction documentation
- Strong understanding of contracts, scopes, schedules, and cost control
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience with educational, municipal, healthcare, or institutional projects preferred
- OSHA knowledge and construction field experience a plus
This position requires a candidate who understands that accurate estimating, proper documentation, and disciplined project administration are the foundation of successful construction.
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial construction projects
- Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents with accuracy
- Solicit and level bids from qualified subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare and maintain bid tabs, scopes of work, and proposal packages
- Assist in budget development, value engineering, and cost analysis
- Support Project Managers with contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders
- Maintain organized project files, logs, and cost tracking reports
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors during preconstruction
- Assist with permit documentation, compliance, and closeout packages
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and scope reviews
