Join a well-established general contractor with a strong presence throughout the Southern U.S., specializing in commercial and industrial projects across a range of sectors including pharmaceutical, municipal, and high-tech facilities. You'll work closely with leadership, be exposed to high-level preconstruction processes, and get out in the field with opportunities to visit job sites and attend bid meetings. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commercial Construction Estimator position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (required)
- 2-3 years of experience in commercial or industrial estimating (residential experience not applicable)
- Ability to read and understand architectural, civil, structural, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical drawings
- Perform quantity take-offs, manage subcontractor pricing, and issue RFP responses
- Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and bid openings with occasional travel involved (vehicle or allowance provided)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and ideally Procore and Microsoft Project
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Assist with maintaining subcontractor databases and track bid data for historical reference
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
