Visions Staffing Solutions has been retained to find top creative talent for one of the nation's leading designers and suppliers of framed art, mirrors, and wall décor. Our client's products are sold in major bed & bath, craft, and retail chains across the country. Founded over 30 years ago, the company operates a 250,000 sq. ft. Los Angeles facility with a 50-person in-house design team and over 500 employees across three countries with showrooms in LA, New York, Nashville, and Hong Kong. This is a company where your creative output reaches millions of homes.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a temp-to-hire role with a clear path to permanent employment typically within 90 days for strong performers. You'll be joining an established creative team where your work goes directly into commercial production. WHAT YOU'LL DO

You'll work directly with the Art Creation Manager, Art Director, and Design staff to create and edit imagery for wall décor products. Day-to-day, this includes:

• Digital and traditional painting and illustration for home décor products
  
• Scanning, retouching, and enhancing traditionally created artwork
  
• Typography creation and graphic design for product lines
  
• Photo and image retouching, color correction, and color profile management
• Image manipulation and resizing for print production
  
• Image database management and organized records keeping
  

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You're a well-rounded visual artist who is equally comfortable in Photoshop as you are with a sketchpad. You understand print production, can interpret market trends into original designs, and thrive in a fast-paced commercial creative environment. Specifically, you bring:

Required:

• 2+ years of experience as a designer or commercial artist in a relevant industry
  
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (this is a daily tools role)
• Solid understanding of traditional and digital painting and illustration
• Typography, graphic design, and layout skills
• Print production knowledge: CMYK vs. RGB, DPI/PPI resolution, pixelation checks
• Ability to interpret current home décor market trends into original artwork
• Excellent attention to detail, strong grammar and spelling
  
• Comfortable receiving and executing art direction and change notes
  
• Ability to commute to Vernon, CA (on-site, Monday–Friday)
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience in the home décor or mass-market consumer products industry
• Knowledge of Pantone color system
  
• Experience with digital recoloring for product colorways
