Collections Analyst

A leading financial services company is seeking a highly organized and proactive Collections Analyst to support credit and accounts receivable operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in collections, credit control, dispute resolution, and A/R reporting who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities of the Collections Analyst

  • Collect overdue invoices across an assigned portfolio and reduce delinquency through proactive outreach.
  • Resolve past‑due balances while maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Prepare account statements and collaborate with internal teams (customer service, sales, and billing) to address inquiries and disputes.
  • Generate accurate A/R aging reports to support leadership visibility.
  • Maintain real-time collections tracking and reporting through internal systems.
  • Research account details, validate billing, and monitor customer payment activity through ERP and A/R tools.
  • Recommend improvements to collection communication strategies and workflows.
  • Support month‑end close processes related to credit and collections.

Qualifications for the Collections Analyst

  • 3–7+ years of experience in collections, credit control, dispute resolution, or accounts receivable analysis.
  • Experience using ERP and A/R systems (e.g., AS/400, NetSuite, or similar tools).
  • Demonstrated ability to reduce delinquency and improve recovery rates.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, sales, and finance teams.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing high-volume portfolios.

Preferred Background for the Collections Analyst (Not Required)

Experience in roles such as:

  • Credit Control Specialist
  • Collections Analyst
  • Dispute Analyst
  • A/R Analyst
    Especially within industries such as logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or telecommunications.
