Volt is immediately hiring for Medical Coder II in Duarte, CA.

As a Medical Coder II you will:

• Compile and maintain medical records for patients within a healthcare delivery system to accurately document patient conditions and treatments
• Review medical records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
• Abstract and code clinical data including diseases, operations, procedures, and therapies
• Assign codes using standard medical classification systems
• Perform complex surgical coding, primarily coding major surgeries only
• Work within a multispecialty environment, with a strong focus on oncology cases
• Ensure coding accuracy to support billing, reporting, and regulatory compliance

This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity. This is a 100% in-office position. M-F 8am-5pm.

The ideal candidate will have: 

• 5+ years of experience in multispecialty medical coding
• Strong surgical coding experience, including complex and major surgeries
• CPC certification (required)
• Proven experience coding within a healthcare or hospital setting
• Strong attention to detail and knowledge of medical terminology and coding guidelines
• Oncology coding experience
• Experience in high complexity surgical environments

Pay Rate:$30 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
