CNC Setup Machinist | Programmer

Our client, a leader in precision manufacturing, has an immediate need for an experienced CNC Setup Machinist | Programmer, to join our winning team in Fairfield.

Our candidate of choice will be a highly qualified CNC Lathe Setup Machinist & Operator who can Produce Precision Parts. Programming experience is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up, program, and operate CNC Lathes in the shop.
• Fully competent and approved to perform machining processes within the scope of responsibility.
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of a finished workpiece, the sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
• Possesses the ability to understand verbal as well as written instructions.
• Ability to use measuring equipment and calculate trigonometric functions.
• Measures tolerances on the job during production, upon completion, and before passing the product to the next operation.
• Completes in-process inspection reports.
• Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication practices.
• Quality requirements to meet standards and production schedules.
• Compensation range commensurate with experience.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 or more years of experience with computer numerical controlled machining.
• Familiarity with Swiss-Type Screw Machine (Star SR-20, Tsugami, etc.)
• Experience with ISO 9001 requirements is a plus.
• Must be a US citizen or legal resident eligible for employment.
