CNC Router Programmer-Operator (Custom Signage)

At Eye 4 Group, our signs, dimensional elements, and specialty fabrications help brands stand out across Indiana and beyond. We’re looking for a CNC Router Programmer-Operator who’s energized by technical problem-solving and the artistry of precision machining.

Our Mission, Your Role

We turn imaginative design into durable, accurate parts. You’ll own the routing process—from interpreting CAD and proofs to selecting tooling, programming, and executing clean runs—so every project reflects the quality our clients expect.

What You’ll Tackle

• Program and operate the CNC router to cut, shape, and engrave parts to spec.
• Read CAD files, blueprints, and design proofs; verify geometry and tolerances.
• Prepare the machine: table setup, vacuum optimization, bit selection, feeds/speeds.
• Use sign shop/CNC software to review, adjust, and apply cutting parameters.
• Select and prep materials; ensure correct sizing, cleanliness, and defect-free surfaces.
• Load/unload safely and return materials to organized storage.
• Operate additional shop equipment as needed to support builds.
• Conduct quality checks on raw stock and finished parts.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs.
• Manage tooling and consumable inventory; track and reorder supplies.
• Assist with cutting, gluing, and assembly tasks outside the router cell.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace; follow PPE and safety procedures.

What Sets You Up for Success

• 1+ years of professional CNC router experience in signage, woodworking, plastics, or related environments.
• Competence reading and interpreting CAD drawings, proofs, and technical documentation.
• Experience with sign shop or CNC programming software.
• In-depth understanding of router tooling, feeds/speeds, and material-specific strategies.
• Hands-on with aluminum, acrylic, PVC, wood, foam, and composite substrates.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision mindset.
• Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Organized, deadline-driven, and detail-focused.
• Positive, team-oriented, reliable, punctual—committed to meeting production goals.
