Description
The CNC Programmer Lead is responsible for programming, setting up, and optimizing CNC machining operations while ensuring quality and on‑time delivery. The position involves planning jobs, selecting tooling, improving machining processes, troubleshooting issues, and supporting machinists on the shop floor. You'll also validate programs, inspect completed parts, maintain shop organization, and contribute to new product introduction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and optimize CNC programs.
- Lead setups, troubleshoot machining issues, and validate programs through dry runs and prove‑outs.
- Implement process improvements to reduce cycle times and ensure quality performance metrics are met.
Profile
The ideal candidate brings hands‑on CNC machining and programming experience, strong blueprint interpretation skills, and a deep understanding of tooling, setups, and machining best practices. They thrive in a fast‑paced environment, work independently, and serve as a technical mentor to machinists while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
