Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team in Blaine, MN. This role involves operating and adjusting CNC Swiss machines within a production manufacturing environment. The position requires performing routine operations that adhere to production standards and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate Swiss CNC machines, specifically Citizen L12 and/or L20 models.
• Run production and deburr parts as necessary.
• Replace broken or dull tools and make offsets to ensure the machine produces conforming parts.
• Conduct In-Process Inspection on manufactured parts and record inspection data.
• Inspect parts using various tools such as microscopes, micrometers, OGP, gage pins, thread gages, indicators, and calipers.
• Read and comprehend layouts, job travelers, and blueprints.
• Understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ensure adherence to written manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with company quality and safety standards.
• Complete preventative maintenance duties for equipment and maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Conduct oneself professionally and maintain a high standard of job performance.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; degree or certificate in Machine Tool Technology.
• 2-4 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Familiarity with operating Citizen L12 and/or L20 machines.
• Ability to adapt quickly and positively to changing priorities and processes.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience and/or training in a production setting and comparable manufacturing.
• Understanding of tooling requirements for setting up and operating machines, including pre-setting of tools.
• Familiarity with ISO Quality System, particularly in medical device manufacturing.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
• Strong math background, preferably in machine math/shop math.
