Role Snapshot — Windsor, CT
Step into a shop where precision is the language and quality is the standard. As our CNC Milling Setup Specialist, you’ll turn complex prints into flawless parts for demanding applications.
A Day in the Life
Morning: Review work orders and prints, load G‑code, select tooling, and dial in workholding for first‑article runs on 3–5+ axis VMCs. Verify zero points and offsets before the first chip flies.
Midday: Run prototypes and production parts, perform in‑process checks with gauges and inspection tools, adjust feeds/speeds and wear offsets, and document results against specifications.
Afternoon: Troubleshoot issues as they surface, confer with engineering and production to refine cycle times and surface finishes, and prep the floor for the next run with efficient changeovers.
Wrap‑up: Perform routine maintenance, clean and stage the work area, and ensure safety protocols are followed so tomorrow starts just as strong.
