Salary Range: $59,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and write CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis milling machines using CAM software.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, feeds, and speeds, and optimize tool paths for efficiency and part quality.
• Perform program simulations and verifications to detect potential errors, collisions, or inefficiencies before machining.
• Create detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and work instructions for machine operators.
• Collaborate with engineers and machinists to troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes.
• Assist in the design and selection of fixtures and workholding solutions.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, cycle time reduction, and material waste minimization.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM).
• Demonstrated experience programming 3-axis CNC mills; 4/5-axis experience a plus.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code, tooling, and machining principles.
• Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.
• Proven ability to optimize tool paths, reduce cycle times, and troubleshoot programming issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced CNC simulation software (e.g., Vericut).
• Proficiency in designing custom workholding and fixtures.
• Ability to modify or troubleshoot post-processors.
• Experience programming 4-axis or 5-axis CNC mills.
