Your day, building precision
Based in Houston, TX, you’ll start by reviewing the day’s build plan, loading part models, and translating prints into efficient CNC toolpaths. You’ll dial in setups, verify tools and fixtures, run prove-outs, and complete first-article inspections. Throughout the shift, you’ll fine-tune feeds and speeds, collaborate with engineers and production teammates, and document every programming improvement so the next run is even better. You’ll close the day with a tidy, safe workstation—and parts that hit spec.
What you’ll do
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling and turning operations.
- Set up and operate CNC equipment with the correct tooling and fixturing.
- Perform in-process and final quality checks to confirm parts meet specifications.
- Partner with engineers and production staff to enhance machining processes.
- Troubleshoot programming or machining issues and resolve root causes.
- Maintain accurate records of program revisions and machine settings.
- Follow safety procedures and uphold a clean, organized work area.
What you bring
- Proven experience as a CNC Machining Programmer or closely related role.
- Proficiency with CNC programming languages (G-code and M-code).
- Solid understanding of machining processes, workholding, and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Sharp problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification preferred.
If crafting accurate, repeatable results excites you, we’d love to hear from you.
