CNC Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate our 5-Axis Mill. This position offers an engaging opportunity for experienced CNC machinists committed to precision craftsmanship. Responsibilities

• Review set up sheets and stage tooling as required to produce parts conforming to customer blueprint and/or purchase order requirements.
• Support planning, production, and programming to implement and optimize machining set-ups and programs.
• Maintain a clean work environment while running machine(s).
• Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency.
• Investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
• Making off-sets and other adjustments to programs as necessary

Requirements

• Ability to select the best method of producing parts, tools or assemblies.
• Blueprint reading skills and appropriate math skills.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing, methods, fabrication processes (i.e., machining, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, N/C programming, instrumentation and control systems).
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately
• Mechanical knowledge of machining equipment including CNC lathes, milling machines, CNC mills, CNC lathes, power tools, hand tools, tooling setups
• Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during setup and operation
• Valid experience operating forklifts preferred but not required
• Ability to work night shifts reliably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
