CNC Machinist 1st Shift

Shift: MondayThursday, 6:00 AM 4:00 PM
Pay: $21 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Haas CNC mills and lathes by entering programs and setting zero points, tool offsets, registers, and compensation values.

• Install and adjust three-jaw and four-jaw chucks, collets, vices, stops, stock pushers, and other tooling.

• Load, align, and secure fixtures, tooling, and workpieces using hand tools and precision measuring equipment.

• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet print specifications using calipers, micrometers, gauges, templates, and fixtures.

• Input and modify CNC commands, programs, and specifications as required for production.

• Transfer CNC programs from the network/server to machine controls.

• Monitor machine operation by sight and sound to identify tool wear, vibration, or potential malfunctions and make adjustments as needed.

• Remove and replace dull or worn cutting tools and components.

• Perform routine quality checks and document results as required.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning machines, tooling, and parts.

• Assist in other areas of the shop as needed to support production.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of CNC machining and machine setup.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.

• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

• Willingness to cross-train and work in other shop areas as needed.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Availability to work overtime when approved and scheduled by a supervisor.
