Position Overview
We are looking for experienced Manual and CNC Machinists to join a growing industrial service and manufacturing team. This position is ideal for hands-on machinists who enjoy challenging, diverse work rather than repetitive production runs. You'll be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, setting up and operating a wide range of manual and CNC machines, and producing precision components used in heavy industrial equipment.
About the Work
Our machinists support the fabrication, repair, and manufacturing of components for industrial systems such as pumps, gearboxes, compressors, turbines, valves, and more. The role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, horizontal and vertical boring mills, grinders, and other specialty tools. You'll also assist with equipment set-ups using overhead cranes and may occasionally perform on-site machining and outage support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain various manual and CNC machining equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical documents
- Accurately measure components to tight tolerances (within 0.001' or better) using precision instruments
- Verify part dimensions and quality, documenting inspection results as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of proper PPE
- Work scheduled hours with flexibility for overtime when necessary
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles and machining processes
- Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics accurately
- Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license required
- Willingness to undergo a background check
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
- Overtime may be required to meet production needs
