Openings: We have two opportunities for experienced CNC field professionals.

A day in the field

You’ll begin your day reporting to our Sterling Heights facility, gather job details and parts, then head out to customer sites. On any given day, you may restore a machine to production, perform a precision alignment, trace an electrical fault from the drive to the control, or collaborate with our engineering team on a complex diagnostic. Expect variety, autonomy, and the backing of a seasoned TARUS support network.

Travel rhythm

Plan for up to 25% domestic and international travel. Some trips will include overnight stays based on customer location and workload.

What you’ll handle

• Hands-on mechanical and electrical service for CNC machine tools
• Advanced troubleshooting to minimize customer downtime
• Preventive maintenance, inspections, and calibrations
• Reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Clear, detailed service reporting and documentation
• Partnering with engineering/technical teams on escalated issues
• Delivering professional, customer-focused service at every visit

What you’ll bring

• 2+ years servicing or repairing CNC machinery in the field
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with a solid understanding of CNC operation
• Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals
• Proven diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Clear communicator with professional customer presence
• Valid driver’s license (Enhanced License a plus)

Work authorization

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship and meet company auto insurance requirements.

Highly valued experience

• Exposure to multiple CNC control platforms
• Familiarity with TARUS CNC machines
• Siemens 840D / SINUMERIK ONE
• Heidenhain controls
