My client is an ISO certified manufacturing company specializing in the machining and assemble of connectors and antennas for the telecommunications industry as well as components for the home and lock security. They have been in business for over 30 years and are looking for a qualified CNC Lathe Set-up/Operator. Their factory floor is a mix of CNC Swiss, CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers, single and double turret lathes with live tools and pick offs. Machines include, Citizens, Nakamuras, Mazak, Okumas, Eurotech and more.
Our CNC Setup Turn/Mill Lathe Machinist will be expected to:
- Setup complicated jobs maximizing the program's tool feeds and speeds
- Select Insert, tools and place in tool holders or install pre-set tools in CNC machine
- Set tools, as necessary and perform and document in-process inspections
- Some CNC Programming for Lathe machines with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls
Job Requirements
The job requires having at least 3 years Turn/Mill lathe experience, as well as:
- Ability to operate/setup CNC Turn/Mill and be able to read and understand "G" and "M" code functions
- Be able to work with minimum supervision to achieve first piece approval
- Understand Mazatrol and/or IGF programming preferred
- Basic program Okuma and Mazak turn/mill lathes preferred
- Understand proper use of tooling and feeds and speeds
- Knowledge of ISO 9000
