Operate computer numerical control (CNC) grinding machines, including infeed/thru-feed centerless grinding machines, CNC surface grinding machines. Operate secondary equipment as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Operate machines, achieving specifications including quality and throughput.
- Perform ERP system transactions.
- Perform required daily maintenance to equipment and tools.
- Monitor, observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions.
- Perform 1st piece and In-process inspections
- Record measurements per inspection plans
- Simultaneous to grinding operation, perform a variety of secondary operations as required ex: cleaning parts, cleaning work areas and assisting others within the department.
- Machine materials other than metal, such as composites, plastic, and rubber.
