A well established aerospace manufacturing company in the Hawthorne area is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to support precision inspection and quality assurance operations. This is a hands on role focused on programming, operating, and optimizing CMM equipment to ensure tight tolerance aerospace components meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and operate CMM equipment for first article, in process, and final inspections
  • Develop inspection programs using PC-DMIS or similar CMM software
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications
  • Perform dimensional inspections on tight tolerance machined components
  • Create inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to quality issues
  • Collaborate with machining, engineering, and quality teams to improve processes
  • Maintain calibration and ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of CMM programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
  • Experience inspecting complex machined parts
  • Proficiency with PC-DMIS or comparable CMM software
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality systems preferred (AS9100 experience is a plus)
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize inspection workload
