Job Posting: CloudOps Engineer (Security Team)
Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled CloudOps Engineer (or DevOps Engineer with an operations focus) to join our Security Team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and providing automation support to ensure a secure, scalable, and automated cloud-native environments for a leading Cloud Service Provider (CSP). You will support multi-cloud deployments, ensuring high availability, continuous improvement, and the enforcement of security best practices and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy and manage applications across Development, Pre-production, and Production environments in multi-cloud settings, specifically focused on AWS (primary) and GCP.Kubernetes Orchestration: Manage Kubernetes clusters using tools such as Gardener, Rafay, and Helm, ensuring robust orchestration and container security.Automation & CI/CD: Work with automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, ArgoCD, Travis) to streamline deployments and cloud operations.
- Security & Monitoring: Support enforcement of security best practices and compliance. Support enterprise monitoring and observability using tools like Sumo Logic, Splunk, and Site24x7. Set up automated security policies and integrated on-call alerts (Splunk On-Call).
Reliability & Performance: Troubleshoot complex production issues efficiently and provide solutions to meet SLA compliance, such as managing database availability zones.Team Mentorship: Serve as a technical guide to other team members, promoting best practices in cloud architecture and reliability engineering.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in Cloud Operations or DevOps.
- Certifications: At least one of the following is required:
- CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), CKAD (Application Developer), or CKS (Security Specialist).
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer.
- Scripting: Proficiency in Python is the most critical requirement. Experience with JavaScript/Node.js is also highly valued.
- Core Technologies:
Multi-cloud platforms with a strong emphasis on AWS.Deep understanding of Kubernetes and container technologies (Docker).
- Expertise in CI/CD tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Git/GitHub).
Foundational knowledge of Cloud Security, Identity, and Compliance.
US Citizens
Preferred Skills:
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
