JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Junior Cloud Security Architect to support cybersecurity engineering and identity-focused cloud security initiatives within a federal program.
This role focuses on supporting secure cloud architectures, identifying risks, and implementing security controls across cloud environments. The position is ideal for an early-career engineer with cloud security experience who is looking to grow within a structured cybersecurity and ICAM-focused environment.
- Support design and implementation of secure cloud architectures
- Identify security risks and vulnerabilities and assist in developing mitigation strategies
- Assist with system security engineering across the lifecycle, including design, integration, and validation
- Support implementation and evaluation of security-focused tools and services
- Participate in assessment and mitigation of system security threats and risks
- Support validation of system security requirements and secure system design
- Assist in implementing security controls across infrastructure, applications, and data
- Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to support secure operations
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cloud security, cybersecurity engineering, or related discipline
- Experience supporting cloud-based environments and security practices
- Understanding of risk management, vulnerability management, and secure system design
- DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required)
- One or more cloud certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Experience with software development using C or Angular
- Experience working with APIs and application integration
- Familiarity with ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management) environments
- Experience supporting federal or defense programs
