We are hiring a Cloud Engineer for one of our clients in the health industry to design, implement, and optimize cloud and hybrid infrastructure. This role requires a strong balance of hands-on engineering, cloud architecture, and operational support, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 ecosystems.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance infrastructure scalability, strengthen security posture, and drive automation across a globally distributed environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and manage scalable Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS) infrastructure
- Administer and optimize Azure AD (Entra ID) including SSO, MFA, and Conditional Access
- Manage and enhance Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Develop and implement automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, and/or Terraform
- Monitor system performance, usage, and cloud spend; implement cost optimization strategies
- Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams on VPNs, hybrid connectivity, and cloud networking
- Integrate and support enterprise security tools such as Zscaler, Proofpoint, and endpoint protection platforms
- Ensure high availability, backup, and disaster recovery processes are in place and maintained
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering and/or systems engineering
- Strong hands-on expertise with:
- Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS)
- Azure AD / Entra ID
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Proven experience supporting hybrid environments (on-premises + cloud)
- Solid understanding of:
- Networking fundamentals (DNS, VPNs, firewalls)
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
- Experience with Intune and endpoint management solutions
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104 or AZ-305
- Experience working in enterprise or global IT environments
- Exposure to cloud security and compliance frameworks
