Reporting to the Clinical Trials Nurse Manager, the Clinical Research Assistant is responsible for blending basic clinical skills with research responsibilities in the Diagnostic and Treatment Center (D&TC).
Responsibilities:Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Learns and participates in research processes.
Supports clinical trial activities with administrative/clinical tasks.
Applies knowledge of medical/research terminology and GCP.
Performs phlebotomy and contributes to participant care/data collection.
Contributes to team and site goals.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least one (1) year of prior clinical experience, including working as a Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN, Clinical Research Assistant, or Phlebotomist.
- Prior experience with phlebotomy is required.
- Position requires in-person, onsite presence.
- Must be proficient in computer platforms, including MS Office Suite and EMRs. Must have the highest level of discretion to handle confidential information.
- Independent and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of research terminology, federal regs, GCP.
Must have a passion for excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional quality. Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, along with attention to detail, are essential. Initiative and self-motivation are critical.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in an academic, medical, or research institution is strongly preferred.
