Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary

The Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist contributes to high quality, patient-centered care by identifying candidates for inpatient rehabilitation and initializing timely, appropriate patient transfers. In collaboration with the Rehab Medical Director, the Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist ensures appropriate patient placement through clinical assessments and screening. The Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist serves as an inpatient rehabilitation expert between internal and external referral sources and inpatient rehabilitation operations. The Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for establishing relationships with case managers, physicians, payors, and other referral sources. Lastly, Great communicators, able to establish personal connections, and passionate about inpatient rehab.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • (LPT) Licensed Physical Therapist, or (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist, or (OT) Occupational Therapist, or (RN) Registered Nurse, or (SLP) Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma, or Masters Degree
