Overview
The Clinical Housing Coordinator provides evening leadership and clinical oversight for Chestnut’s 24-hour mental health housing programs. This role mentors, coaches, and supports frontline staff while ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services for individuals living in our housing programs.
This is a full-time evening position, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, and is based in Madison, IL.

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $49,000 - $55,000 annual salary.
Responsibilities
Supervise evening staff across Chestnut’s 24-hour mental health housing programs
Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate staff, interns, and volunteers
Provide leadership in the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of housing services
Deliver direct, trauma-informed services to consumers and family members as needed
Promote harm reduction and recovery-oriented practices focused on hope, respect, empowerment, wellness, and connectedness
Serve as a role model for professionalism, sound judgment, and calm, effective conflict resolution
Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to ensure continuity and quality of care
Promote Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence through adherence to organizational standards
Maintain confidentiality and security of all consumer and organizational information
Perform other duties as assigned or negotiated with supervisor

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent with some college OR a bachelor’s degree in a helping profession
Minimum of 5–7 years of experience providing and/or supervising social services
Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team supervision experience
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to respond effectively and calmly in high-pressure or conflict situations
Valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance, and ability to be insured
Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
