Job Summary and Qualifications

Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and current health plans. Implement dietary care plans and provides nutritional counseling for patients. Consults with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutrition and diet restrictions of patient or client. Coordinates recipe development for food service to patients. Develop policies for food service or nutritional programs to assist in disease control promotions. Inspect meals served for conformance to prescribed diets and assist in training food service staff on diet restrictions. Must have basic knowledge of the nutritional, developmental, and behavioral needs of patients of all ages. Responsible for counseling individuals, families, and groups on nutrition topics with ability to create and develop curriculum, manuals, visual aids, and other materials for such needs. Must complete continuing education as required to uphold certification and licensure. 

What you will do in this role:

• Assess nutritional needs in relation to age and health of the patient.
• Develops and implements nutritional care plans, evaluating and reporting these results appropriately.
• Through nutritional counseling, it provides patients with the ability to self-manage their own nutritional care based on their needs.
• Coordinates recipe development and standards.
• Always provides the highest quality of service to customers.
• Always maintains proper security of information or cash. Understands and follows all cash handling policies and procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RD-STATE) Registered Dietitian - State
• Bachelors Degree
• No Travel Required
• No experience Required Years of Experience
