Client Services Supervisor (Adoptions)

Full Time, (Various days and hours, weekends/holidays as needed)

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday

$20 to $22 an hour

Do you have a passion for helping animals find forever homes and possess supervisory and great customer service skills? Come join our Adoptions team at the world-renowned Helen Woodward Animal Center! The Client Services Supervisor works closely with the Adoptions Client Services Manager in overseeing front desk staff and volunteers, supporting daily operations of the front desk and retail operations for the adoptions department.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Will supervise, hire, train and mentor Client Services Representative staff and volunteers.
• Oversee the Retail store; order pet supplies, manage inventory and ensure proper merchandise presentation and pricing.
• Greet and assist the public, potential adopters, intake partners, donor and private transfer parties.
• Evaluate and resolve customer and animal welfare issues and ensure the highest level of quality customer service is provided.
• Ensure all inquiries are handled in a timely manner and accurate electronic and hardcopy files are maintained
• Will act as Manager of the Day when requested.
• Process employee performance evaluations, time cards, draft front desk schedules and handle accounting transactions.
• Develop, plan and execute approved, creative adoptions client promotions and department marketing activities to draw attention to our adoptable pets.

Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent with 1-2 years supervisory experience.
• Three years previous Retail customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to remain professional, patient, and solution focused during emotionally sensitive or high-pressure situations.
• Basic familiarity with cat/dog breeds, behavior and general husbandry.
• Ability to work closely with cat and dog dander.
