Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Professional, yet friendly and compassionate demeanor and good communicator.
  • Proficient with computers and basic office operations.
  • Upon hire, must complete Oregon Patient Chaperone training.
  • Achieve/maintain BLS Certification.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Responsibilities:
  • Gather and analyze statistics to identify and implement ways to improve client services. 
  • Maintain patient files and ensure patient information has been entered. 
  • Review and make suggestions for relevant organizational policies. 
  • Work in conjunction with the Nurse Manager and Nurse Educator to coordinate educational classes. 
  • Provide client services support to other department heads. 
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteer advocates. 
  • Supervise front desk personnel. 
  • Maintain the Community Referrals literature and facilitate relationships with organizations that we refer to or receive referrals from. 
  • Perform Receptionist duties as needed, including answering phones, patient intake, scheduling appointments, and preparing charts for appointments. 
  • Develop material resources for clients and track distribution. 
  • Follow through with end-of-day procedures for preparation for next day patients. 
  • Perform Patient Advocate duties as needed. Provide crisis intervention support for each patient in an atmosphere of warmth and compassion through listening and other helping skills. 
  • Provide accurate information to patients, working in conjunction with the RN’s while following the Linear Patient Flow. 
  • Offer support and recommendations appropriate to a patient’s situation, being aware of community resources. 
  • Maintain all electronic patient records as indicated in center policies and guidelines, following appropriate charting methods after meeting with patients. 
  • Assist RN’s as necessary. 
  • Witness during procedures as needed. 
  • Follow all policies and procedures regarding intake and in-office duties. 
  • Re-stock brochures and resources as necessary. 
  • Report supply shortages to the Front Office Coordinator.
