As a Client Account Manager, you’ll be the friendly voice behind Lumen’s business support—helping clients stay connected, informed, and confident in their services. Essential Functions of the Client Account Manager Role


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Lumen business clients, serving as their trusted point of contact for service updates and account support.

  • Understand client connectivity needs and recommend Lumen solutions, including fiber and internet services that align with business goals.

  • Track account metrics like renewals, usage, and satisfaction, and proactively address service issues or growth opportunities.

  • Work with sales, support, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of Lumen services and timely issue resolution.

  • Drive revenue through upselling, cross-selling, and supporting successful renewals across Lumen’s telecom offerings.

  • Create reports, forecasts, and client insights, helping leadership make informed decisions and improve campaign performance.

Education & Experience Needed for the Client Account Manager Role

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience in telecom or client services is also valued.

  • 1–2 years of experience in account management, customer success, or B2B sales—especially in fast-paced, service-driven environments.

  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain Lumen’s fiber and internet services to clients in a way that’s easy to understand.

  • Experience using CRM platforms and reporting tools to track client interactions, monitor account health, and support campaign performance.

Preferred Skills for the Client Account Manager Role

  • Comfortable using CRM tools to track accounts, log feedback, and stay organized.

  • Familiar with telecom or internet services like fiber and business connectivity—bonus points if you’ve worked with them before.

  • Able to juggle multiple accounts, stay on top of deadlines, and keep things running smoothly.
