A Day on the Road

Your shift begins with a meticulous pre-trip inspection to verify vehicle readiness. You’ll navigate planned routes, coordinate with dispatch on any schedule or route changes, and load or unload freight with care—securing cargo properly every time. Throughout the day, you’ll keep precise delivery records, including logs, mileage, and fuel usage. Before heading home, you’ll complete a thorough post-trip inspection and ensure everything is set for the next run.

What You’ll Do

• Operate a commercial vehicle in full compliance with traffic laws and DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify safety and roadworthiness.
• Handle loading and unloading; secure cargo to prevent shifting or damage.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, mileage, and fuel records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch about route adjustments and schedules.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
• Assist with route planning and navigation to improve delivery efficiency.

What You Bring

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• At least 2 years of commercial vehicle driving experience.
• Strong command of DOT rules and safety practices.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Clear communicator with solid interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solver who can work independently.
• Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Proficiencies

• Current CDL License
