Job Title: Civil/Structural Engineer
Location: Houston, TX 70112
Duration: 6 Months Contract

Job Description:
Client has a position available for an early career Civil/Structural Engineer to support our growing Energy practice Engineering Center of Excellence. For this role, client offers the freedom and flexibility to work in a hybrid office/remote setting and/or be located at a variety of Energy offices located in multiple locations across the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Perform engineering analyses and design under the direct supervision of experienced and licensed professional engineers
• Provide engineering support for multi-discipline design projects from work scope development until the completion of construction
• Evaluate and apply applicable building code requirements and design code requirements (e.g. IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC)
• Travel to project site and meetings as needed.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving structural engineering problems including building 3D analytical structural models
• Assist with productions of drawing and documents
• Develop technical specifications, plans, and details

• Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET accredited college or university
• 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

• EIT certification
• Demonstrated experience of structural steel design and reinforced concrete design
• Demonstrated experience with design/building codes such as the AISC Manual of Steel Construction, ACI 318, International Building Code, and ASCE 7 (Design Loads and Associated Criteria for Buildings and Other Structures).
• Knowledge and experience with computer productivity software such as Client Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience to structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro
• Basic knowledge and skill with AutoCAD software
