Summary:

Responsibilities:

Contribute to the North Anna Subsequent License Renewal (SLR) project, focusing on extending the plant’s operational life through system upgrades and infrastructure modernization.
Develop and execute technical solutions across mechanical, civil, and electrical scopes to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering required.
Preferred industry experience in the Nuclear Industry.
2-5 years of experience in a professional engineering position.
Knowledge and application of engineering theories, principles, concepts, and fundamentals.
Competency in applying engineering principles and practices.
Ability to perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g., Matlab, Excel).
Planning, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to develop and exercise leadership skills.
Effective decision-making skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills, including technical writing.
Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems.
Ability to interpret codes, regulations, and practices.
Equally effective working independently or in a team environment.
Ability to process information quickly and manage multiple tasks.

Required Skills:

Experience with design of steel and concrete structures or components (Pipes and conduits supports, Junction boxes support, foundations, etc.).
Familiarity with industrial standards such as ACI, ASCE, ASME codes for lifting and rigging.
Experience with seismic analysis and design for mounting components and equipment.
Collaboration and cross-discipline communication skills.
Adaptability and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and documentation rigor.
Initiative and ownership in identifying design risks and driving tasks to completion.
Stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
