Job Details
We're seeking a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with 3–8 years of experience in land development and site civil engineering. This role is ideal for a motivated engineer who is well-versed in the preparation of subdivision and site construction plans and who thrives in a collaborative, design-focused environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and preparation of civil engineering plans for residential, commercial, and mixed-use land development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare site civil and subdivision construction plans from concept through permitting and construction
- Perform stormwater management and drainage design, including SCM (Stormwater Control Measure) design
- Design water distribution and sanitary sewer systems
- Develop erosion and sediment control plans in accordance with local and state regulations
- Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D for plan production and design modeling
- Coordinate with project managers, surveyors, planners, and local agencies to support approvals and permitting
- Ensure plans are accurate, clear, and constructible, consistent with Y‑WH’s standards for quality and precision
- Support project management tasks as needed, including design revisions and agency comments
Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- 3–8 years of experience in land development civil engineering
- Strong background in site civil design and subdivision plan preparation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Experience with:
- Storm drainage and stormwater management design
- SCM design
- Water and sewer design
- Erosion and sediment control design
Familiarity with municipal and state land development standards and permitting processes
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
