Impact Recruitment is working with a multi-disciplined civil engineering and land surveying firm that has delivered high-quality solutions for land and site development. We have an immediate opening in our clients Johnson City, TN office for a Civil Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will be efficient in Civil 3D AutoCAD, have experience working on land development projects. Ability to work with little supervision. During the design process, candidate will ensure that designs meet all necessary design standards and specifications outlined by the jurisdiction of where project is located.   Design Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Understand engineering concepts used in land development.
  • Create engineering drawings, pipe networks, and corridors.
  • Grading experience on Utilities, site development, or transportation background with flexibility to engage in multi-disciplined project types.
  • Create drainage studies for projects, perform hydrology and hydraulic calculations.
  • Erosion control design and write stormwater management plan.
  • Perform roadway design.
  • Water and sanitary sewer layout.
  • Create utility study
  • Proficient in using water cad, storm cad, and UD Sewer.
  Design Engineer Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant technical degree.
  • 3-5 years preferred but not required.
  • 5-10 years working as a design engineer in civil land development field will be reviewed.
  • Civil 3D Required.
  Skills:
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with others and communicate.
  • Ability to talk to clients or government agencies.
  • Ability to teach other staff.
  • Ability to read Construction Plans.
