This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in the legal industry, with a particular focus on civil defense.

Job Details
What You'll Do:
1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or argue for the defendant's rights and liabilities.
2. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
3. Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to formulate legal strategy.
4. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
5. Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.
6. Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
7. Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
8. Act as an agent, trustee, guardian, or executor for businesses or individuals.
9. Mediate disputes and guide clients through the legal process.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of five years of experience as a civil defense attorney.
3. Proven experience in mediations.
4. Current license to practice law and remain in good standing.
5. Exceptional analytical skills with a strong ability to conduct thorough legal research.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, judges, and attorneys.
7. Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record in achieving successful outcomes for clients.
8. Ability to handle a large caseload and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
9. Strong ethical and professional standards.
10. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
