Job Details
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple heavy civil infrastructure projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Coordinate with estimating on material and subcontractor buyouts
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Lead and attend project meetings with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Prepare, submit, and track all project submittals
- Prepare and submit monthly requisitions
- Review, approve, and sign incoming invoices in coordination with accounting
- Maintain and update project schedules using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
- Ensure all projects remain on schedule and within budget
- Perform detailed job costing and maintain accurate financial tracking
- Ensure safety protocols are fully integrated into each job site
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure quality and compliance
- Manage RFIs, subcontracts, and purchase orders
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and safety
- Mentor junior staff and field personnel
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects
- Strong background in site development, excavation, utilities, and infrastructure work
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project documentation
- Experience pricing and managing change orders
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Nice to Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
- Experience working on multi phase infrastructure or municipal projects
- OSHA certification or strong working knowledge of safety programs
- Experience mentoring junior project engineers or assistant project managers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
- Experience using Procore, Sage 300 CRE, and Bluebeam
