Job Details

The Chiller Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and commissioning commercial and industrial chiller systems. This role supports healthcare, education, data center, manufacturing, and large commercial clients.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair air-cooled and water-cooled chillers (centrifugal, screw, scroll)
  • Perform preventive maintenance on large tonnage HVAC systems
  • Troubleshoot compressors, motors, controls, VFDs, and refrigerant circuits
  • Perform oil analysis, tube cleaning, and vibration analysis
  • Support startup and commissioning of new systems
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Maintain detailed service documentation
  • Interface professionally with clients and facility managers
  • Ensure all work complies with safety and EPA standards

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience
  • Strong experience servicing large tonnage chillers
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • Experience with Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, or similar manufacturers preferred
  • Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to work independently in the field
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Experience
  • Centrifugal chiller experience
  • Building automation system (BAS) knowledge
  • Factory training certifications
  • Experience in mission-critical or industrial facilities
