QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must-have: Proven experience in business operations or management (e.g., office management, retail, nonprofit admin, or similar roles requiring organization, budgeting, and team coordination)
  • Strongly preferred: Experience in theatre, performing arts education, youth programs, or related creative/educational fields
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks (or quick ability to learn) for bookkeeping and financial tasks
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a warm, patient, and solution-oriented approach – experience working with families/children is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and comfort using office software (Google Workspace, email, scheduling tools)
  • Passion for children's education, creativity, and the performing arts
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work flexible hours (including some evenings/weekends for classes/shows)
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide outstanding customer service to families, students, and staff – greeting families, answering inquiries, handling registrations, resolving concerns with empathy and professionalism
  • Manage studio operations, including scheduling classes/camps, coordinating instructors, overseeing facility use, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment
  • Handle financial and administrative duties using QuickBooks (invoicing, payments, expense tracking, basic reporting)
  • Support enrollment growth through effective communication, parent engagement, and promotional efforts
  • Collaborate with the owner and team on program planning, special events, and studio improvements
  • Maintain accurate records, supplies, inventory, and compliance with studio policies

As the Studio Business Director of the Academy of Children's Theatre, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy studio. This hands-on leadership position combines business management, exceptional customer service, and a passion for supporting young performers and their families. You'll ensure smooth studio functioning, maintain positive relationships with students/parents, manage administrative tasks, and contribute to the overall success of our programs.

 

Anticipated hours between 25-35, with the possibility to increase over time.
