Northeast Family Services is currently seeking an experienced and professional Chief of Staff to join our growing team.
The Chief of Staff (CoS) will work closely with the executive team, serving as a trusted advisor, gatekeeper, problem solver, and strategic partner to develop and implement strategies that advance our mission. In this role, you will have both internal and external-facing responsibilities and will provide valuable assistance to operational and communication needs across the company.
As the CoS, you will have to tackle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously, mixing long-term projects with the urgency of immediate needs. This role is a terrific opportunity to leverage your mix of executive assistant, operations, and leadership experience, helping the executive team and NFS to identify challenges, develop solutions, and be an integral part of executing critical workflows. Responsibilities include:
Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner, helping the executive team prioritize, sequence, and communicate the company’s critical decisions
Prepare executive communications, leadership offsites, and strategic briefings
Ensure organizational alignment on priorities and accountability frameworks
Drive clarity across cross-functional teams by helping translate strategic goals into executable plans
Deliberately transition ownership of duties to an appropriate long-term leader within NFS once clarity and execution guidelines are established
Support executive communication with the leadership team, employees, partners, and key external customers. Ensure information flows seamlessly across teams and that the executive team is prepared for all engagements
Help drive alignment across departments with differing incentives, timelines, and constraints—ensuring the organization operates as a single system.
Attend all leadership meetings
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
At least 5 years of experience in management consulting, strategy, business operations, as an executive assistant, or a comparable high-performance environment
Strong business acumen with familiarity in behavioral health, healthcare, life sciences, or related field preferred
Exceptional project management skills: ability to run multiple initiatives, align stakeholders, and drive outcomes independently
Strong executive presence with the ability to earn trust quickly and communicate with clarity and influence
Experience thriving in fast-paced, high-demand, ambiguous environments
Ability to move fluidly between strategy, execution, and executive communication
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate seamlessly
Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience with the aptitude to learn new software and systems

Compensation:
Full Time Salary: $60,000 - $75,000
