Job Details
Job Details / Responsibilities:
Provide executive nursing leadership and strategic direction for all nursing and clinical services
Oversee day-to-day operations of nursing, therapy support, education, infection prevention, wound care, dialysis, scheduling, respiratory therapy, and dietary departments
Hold 24-hour accountability for clinical performance, quality outcomes, and patient safety
Manage a team of approximately 48-50 direct and indirect reports including RNs, RNTs, and clinical specialists
Develop, implement, and enforce policies, procedures, and standards of care
Manage departmental budgets, staffing plans, FTE allocation, and resource optimization
Lead performance management, disciplinary processes, and staff development initiatives
Collaborate closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive hospital goals and regulatory compliance
Champion evidence-based practice, infection control, and continuous quality improvement
Ensure compliance with state regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies
Qualifications:
Current unrestricted RN licensure in the state of Colorado (or ability to obtain prior to start)
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
CRRN certification to be obtained within one year of meeting eligibility requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field required (Master’s or higher degree strongly preferred or in progress)
Minimum of five (5) years of inpatient hospital experience
At least two (2) years of recent nursing management experience (within the last 5 years) including 24-hour accountability, FTE/staff management, policy/procedure development, budget oversight, and disciplinary responsibilities
