Chief Financial Officer — New Haven, CT

Key Responsibilities — Chief Financial Officer

• Serve on the Executive Team; partner closely with the CEO, COO, and Controller
• Communicate effectively with staff and volunteer board members
• Oversee all financial operations across skilled nursing, residential care, adult day center, transportation, and assisted living
• Lead accounting functions including purchasing, tax, long-range planning, real estate, AP/AR, payroll, resident trust work, and the general ledger
• Monitor and analyze Medicare/Medicaid payor mix to maximize financial outcomes
• Produce financial statements and provide guidance for budgeting and forecasting
• Attend board meetings and sub-committee sessions; communicate financials clearly
• Ensure compliance, documentation accuracy, and all filing deadlines are met


Preferred Qualifications — Chief Financial Officer

Healthcare or Nonprofit experience or is required, ideally in nonprofit or hospital settings
• Strong experience with Medicare/Medicaid and reimbursement structures
• Nonprofit background and grant experience strongly preferred
• Ability to support leadership initiatives and help strengthen the organization’s revenue pipeline
• Someone who can inspire change and adapt to evolving priorities
