Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Niles, MI

Location: Niles, Michigan
Schedule: Onsite | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $150,000–$185,000 annually (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a growing organization in Niles, MI. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and oversee all financial operations, compliance, reporting, and strategic planning.

This Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role requires a leader who can operate at both a strategic and operational level. The ideal candidate will drive financial performance, maintain strong internal controls, and provide executive-level insight to support organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

• Lead financial strategy, annual budgeting, and long-term forecasting

• Oversee accounting operations, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close

• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and capital planning

• Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls

• Coordinate annual audits and oversee tax and regulatory reporting

• Present financial reporting and analysis to executive leadership and/or Board of Directors

• Develop and mentor accounting and finance team members

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency

Qualifications for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred)

• 8+ years of progressive financial leadership experience

• Prior experience as a Controller, Director of Finance, or Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cash management

• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

• Proven leadership and team development capabilities
