Job Details
A growing, multi-state healthcare services organization is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to lead and elevate its enterprise-wide compliance, regulatory, quality, and risk oversight functions.
This executive will serve as a key partner to senior leadership and will be responsible for strengthening the systems, standards, and operating discipline that support a highly regulated, mission-driven organization. The right person will bring a strong blend of healthcare compliance expertise, operational judgment, executive communication skills, and practical leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead the company’s overall compliance and oversight strategy across a multi-state operating environment
Partner closely with executive leadership on regulatory risk, organizational exposure, and compliance priorities
Oversee and improve internal processes tied to audit activity, investigations, issue resolution, and reporting
Ensure alignment with applicable state, federal, payer, and contractual requirements
Support and strengthen the organization’s approach to quality, accountability, documentation, and internal controls
Guide compliance-related communication, education, and training efforts across the business
Evaluate existing practices and recommend enhancements that improve consistency, scalability, and risk mitigation
Help drive a proactive, solutions-oriented compliance culture that supports both operational excellence and ethical standards
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of relevant experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory oversight, legal/compliance operations, or related functions
Background in healthcare services required; experience in behavioral health, mental health, home health, or similarly regulated care settings is highly relevant
Experience with Medicaid, regulatory oversight, and payer-related compliance
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to operate effectively at the executive level
Demonstrated ability to assess risk, exercise sound judgment, and influence across a complex organization
Strong operational instincts with the ability to improve systems, processes, and accountability
Legal background is a plus, but not required
Experience in a multi-location / growth-oriented environment strongly preferred
