Chemist - I (Assistant)

Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Chemist - I (Assistant) for a contract position in Wilson, NC. The opportunity will be for nine months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.


Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Primary responsibilities are routine laboratory dissolution, assay/degradate, content uniformity, and identity testing and documentation in a GMP laboratory.
  • Additional responsibilities include entering data into Labware, participating in investigation meetings and some drafting of investigations, peer review of laboratory data, simple troubleshooting instrumentation issues, and participation in the daily tier process.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years industry experience required
  • Experience operating laboratory equipment: HPLC, dissolution apparatus, FTIR, NIR, etc.
  • Experience utilizing Empower.
  • Experience utilizing Labware/LIMS.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and cGMP principles.
  • B.S. degree (preferably in Chemistry or Biology, will look at Engineering if applicable).


Preferred:

  • Experience performing peer review of GMP Analytical Laboratory Data
  • Background in technical writing including but not limited to: updating of standard operating procedures and writing quality notifications.
  • Knowledge of Tier processes.
  • Experience executing 5S principals.
  • Understanding of root cause analysis principals.
  • LabX experience would be beneficial
