General Harvest Restaurants is looking to add a talented chef to our growing team. We are seeking a strong culinary leader to guide the re-opening of Eldr Restaurant in Sunset Hill (North Ballard).

Eldr Restaurant focuses on a simple, ingredient-driven approach to high-quality grilled meats, seafood, and vegetables, cooked exclusively over open fire. We are looking for a chef with experience in structured kitchen environments who is excited about open-fire cooking and passionate about learning, growth, and team development.
The ideal candidate believes in positive leadership, open communication, and leading by example while maintaining a strong kitchen culture.

Compensation & Benefits
$82,000 base salary
$3,000 signing bonus in the first year
Total first-year base: $85,000
Monthly profit-sharing bonus: typically $500 $1,000/month

Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and coach the Back of House (BOH) team
- Run the kitchen during five dinner services per week
- Maintain a strong, positive presence during business hours
- Foster high morale and a positive kitchen culture
- Manage food ordering and inventory to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Monitor and control food costs and operational expenses
- Track food costs using Microsoft Excel
Review food invoices before submission to the office
- Write and post the kitchen schedule at least two weeks in advance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
- Ensure family meal is prepared nightly
- Respond to both positive and negative guest feedback
- Participate in weekly manager meetings
- Uphold and enforce the employee handbook and company standards
- Learn and understand the financial side of restaurant operations

Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience working in a structured kitchen environment
- Experience with open-fire or live-fire cooking preferred
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Passion for high-quality ingredients and simple cooking
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
