How you'll make an impact in this role:- Provide compassionate religious and spiritual counsel to patients, families, and associates, addressing emotional and spiritual distress with respect for all cultures and traditions.
- Cultivate deep spiritual and religious connections through consistent visitation and communication, serving as a pillar of support for patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure the seamless integration of holistic spiritual care into the patient's overall treatment and wellness plan.
- Develop future spiritual care professionals by actively mentoring Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) students and fellows.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Board Certification from the APC, NACC, CASC, or NAJC (or certification obtained within 2 years of hire, risking termination if not obtained within timeframe) is required.
Education:
- Master s Degree in Divinity, Theology, or a related field from an accredited school is required.
- 3 units of CPE accredited by the ACPE is required only if not board-certified. 4 units of accredited CPE are preferred.
Work Experience:
- 3-5 years of healthcare experience as a chaplain is preferred.
