Schedule: Day shift | Full-time 40 hours (Monday - Friday 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.), with monthly call and holiday obligations - call required on average 3 shifts per month
What You Will Do:- Facilitate safe, efficient surgical procedures as a Certified Surgical Technologist by maintaining sterile technique and supporting optimal operating room workflow.
- Prepare the surgical suite with sterile drapes, solutions, instruments, and supplies to ensure readiness and compliance with infection control standards.
- Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments accurately during procedures to support precision, efficiency, and positive patient outcomes.
- Assist with patient preparation, transport, positioning, and sterile draping to promote safe surgical care and procedural effectiveness.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required.
- One or more of the following required:
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Previous 2-3 years CST experience preferred.
- Previous CST experience in trauma hospital setting preferred.
- Previous CST experience in the following specialties: trauma, ob-gyn, vascular, ortho, neuro-spines, robotics, ENT, and plastics preferred.
