Certified Surgical Technician

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician
Location: Eagle Pass, TX
Duration: 3 months with possible extension
Shift: Days , 6:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, 8 to 12 hours a day (depends on cases)
On Call: Yes, every other weekend and sometimes 2 to 3 days a week on the week you are on call

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.
• Sterilizing equipment and instruments.
• Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.
• Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
• Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.
• Tracking surgical supplies.
• Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.
• Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses and general surgical team.
• Helping provide great patient care.

Requirements:

• BLS (AHA).
• NBSTSA.
• 2 Yr of recent experience in a Acute Hospital.
