Location: Detroit, MI 48236
Shift: Morning Shift – 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Certified Sterile Processing Technician to support the Central Sterile Processing Department. The technician will be responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and medical equipment to ensure all departments receive properly processed sterile supplies.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
• Prepare and distribute sterile supplies and instrument trays to clinical departments
• Monitor sterilization processes and accurately read temperature gauges and sterilization indicators
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage of sterile instruments and supplies
• Follow infection control, safety, and sterilization protocols in accordance with hospital standards
• Ensure timely delivery of sterile instruments to support surgical and clinical procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Sterile Processing experience required
• High School Diploma or GED – Required
• Completion of Central Sterile Technician training program, Aide training program, or minimum 6 months of Central Supply experience
• CRCST/CBSPD Certification – Required
